There is something so special about photographing a family again, years after their first session.
I first met the Johnson family in 2019, and I was absolutely delighted to welcome them back to Paris this year for another family photoshoot. Seeing how much the children have grown and being trusted to capture these new memories is one of the things I love most about being a Paris family photographer.
For their return to Paris, they chose Jardin des Tuileries, one of my favorite locations for a family photoshoot. With its lush greenery, elegant pathways and almost ethereal atmosphere, it offers such a beautiful and timeless setting for family photography in Paris.
This time, their grandmother joined us too, which made the session even more meaningful. I always love when grandparents are part of a family photoshoot. Of course, we captured beautiful photographs of everyone together, but I also made sure to create portraits of the children with their grandmother.
These are the photographs that become especially precious with time. Children grow, grandparents grow older and family dynamics change, so having beautiful portraits that capture these relationships is something truly worth treasuring.
We also had a lot of fun recreating a few photographs from their 2019 session. Seeing the before and after side by side is such a wonderful reminder of just how quickly time passes!
I feel incredibly lucky to photograph families from all over the world and, even more so, to have some of them return to Paris and step in front of my camera again. These are not just photographs of a trip to Paris. They are photographs of a family, a chapter in their lives and the people they love most.
